The Chicago Whitesox are the World Series Champions.  It was fitting the Whitesox won the final game 1-0.  The Whitesox pitching was outstanding shuting down the Killer Bees. They lost 4-5 and 3-8 the last two days.  Ryan Dempster's first start since July 2003 was spoiled by the Diamondbacks.  They scored 7 runs, had 9 hits, and walked 3 times against Dempster.  Ryan did strike out 7 in the 3 2/3 innings he pitched. I wouldn't blame the Cubs scoring problems on Kim.  The Cubs had trouble getting their men to second base.  It's hard to waive them in (or hold them up) when you have men swinging at the air at home plate.  An on base percentage of .328 only slightly worse than Sosa's .332.  and better than the Lead Off Hitter Patterson who had a whopping .320. In almost every categories Sammy's production went down from 2003 to 2004.  If I have time I will investigate this further.  I'm pretty sure they have gone down the past 3 years.Sammy Comes Out SlingingSosa's atitude toward Baker isn't healthly either. Sosa has had a great career here in Chicago, but I believe it is time to find a replacement for him. They end up losing the game in the 12th!The Cubs have 3 Games left and are now 1 games back in the Wild Card race.
