The first actual World Series was in 1903.  Before 1901 there was no American League.  That is why the National League is also called the Senior Circuit.

The Cards are in!

Oh boy.  Now I'm in real trouble.  I am a National League fan.  I hate the DH, the Cubs are my real team, but I have been cheering for the Red Sox.  My Dad grew up a Cardinal fan watching Stan the Man.  I know who he is going for.  My heart wants the Red Sox, but my bond is with the NL.  It drives me crazy when the AL beats the NL in the All-Star Game or the World Series.  I guess I hope it goes 7 games and the Cards win by a walk off homerun by Rolen.
