What a breath of fresh Air. Nomar is so Much Different.

Isn't it nice to not have to read articles about Sosa's Boom Box and all the other garbage that was associated with having Sammy show up for Spring Training.

In an article titled Healthy Nomar Ready to Play. Nomar in talking about being the club leader says, "You're not looking for one leader. There is a nucleus of guys here, a core of guys that represents this team so well. You're looking at (Mark) Prior, Kerry Wood, you got (Michael) Barrett."

This sounds so much different than Sammy talking about how he is going to try his best to win. Nomar defers to his teammates where as Sammy deferred to himself.

It is going to be interesting who will prove to be the leader this year. One thing is for certain. A team attitude out of a possible leader is definitely encouraging.
